Children's Program

FREE Salsa, Hip Hop and Ballet classes for Kids! New Cycle begins Sept 10 Classes are free when a child, ages 5-12, attends all classes within their cycle. For each class child does not attend parent will be charged $15. Registration Fee is $20 2-3pm Ballet Kids Level 1 New for the Fall, expose you children to classical dance and music with techniques that will last them a life time and applicable to all dance forms. 3-4pm Salsa Kids Level 1 This is where all our kids have started learning their basic steps and music timing 5-6pm Salsa Kids Level 2 After completing Level 1 our kids prepare for choreography as they learn more advanced footwork and turn patterns 4-5pm Hip Hop Kids Level 1 Have your children do all the current moves to todays popular tunes Stephanie Cordero has been performing with Piel Canela Dance Co. for over eight years. Her passion for dance and her intensity in her movements always express her deep feelings and enjoyment for latin music. Stephanie chooses to teach kids because as a Case Manager for Boys Town, she knows how hard it is to keep our youth focused on positive things and off the streets. Stephanie is a John Jay College Graduate with an Bachelors degree in Forensic Psychology and currently working toward a Masters of Science in Family and Youth Services. Piel Canela will offers a free childrens program because we believe they are our future and our dance and history must be passed on to the next generation of dancers. It is also through a joint adult and child program that we can bring all families together into ours.
