Dawn Papacena

A native New Yorker and born dancer, Dawn honed her technical skills while in high school, focusing on Modern and Jazz technique. During her undergraduate career she became involved in CALALU Reggae Dance Troupe for two years. During this time she also was a member of Caliente! Latin Dance Troupe, for three years. She taught workshops on campus, as well as coordinated dances and mixers for the student body as a representative of both troupes-culminating in her interest in reggaeton and it's growing popularity in the Latino Community. She strives to combine these dance techniques and put reggaeton on the map as more than just "Spanish
reggae"-with it's own flavor and style.
