Dave Paris:
teaches and performs a unique blend of aerial acrobatics, New York style salsa dancing and afro-cuban folkloric dance with his dance partner Zoe Klein. He is the producer of two instructional video series entitled "Salsa Lift and Aerials" and "The Salsa Guide." He has taught at all the major salsa congresses around the world, including Holland, Spain, Italy, Germany, England, China, Korea, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and Canada

Dave Paris lives in New York City. His expertise as an instructor comes from being a student at the New York University School for Teaching Dance. In New York City, Dave is the first to create a Latin movement for people of non-Latin heritage. He uses the knowledge he has learned from studying for 7 years under the two most acclaimed schools of salsa dancing in the world: the Eddie Torres system and the Razzmtazz system. Dave leads popular workshops for all levels of salsa, lifts and tricks, Latin hustle, merengue, and cha cha. He has recently won an award for his teaching..."from Salsa lifetime achievement award winner Angel Rodriguez." He also teaches children's dance classes and a kid's dance company at Middle School 88 in Brooklyn, New York. The classes combine a rigourous academic program with salsa dancing and acrobatic training.

Zoë Klein:
has been designing lights, dancing, and performing acrobatics in NYC since graduating Hampshire College 2001. Zoë has trained partner balancing acrobatics and trapeze for 2 years privately with LAVA and was a co-founding member of the circus/theater company KIRKOS for another 2 years. Zoë Klein and David Paris now form Paradizo Duo training inMontreal,Australia, andGermany. The duo performed and taught classes for their august tour inThailand,Hong Kong,Japan,New ZealandandAustralia. Recent lighting collaborations include LAVA, Fernando Maneca, Gina Gibney, and Wally Cardona. Zoë is Technical Director at Brooklyn Arts Exchange and Danspace Project, Inc.

Our workshops are three hours long

2:30-4:00pm, open to Advanced Beginner - Intermediate
4:00-5:30pm, open to Strong Intermediate - Advanced dancers

The instructor will have the choice to remove anyone they do not deem appropriate for the class. The workshops will have a limit of 25 students per session,we're trying to keep it small so that the students can learn the most.
