Hi, my name is Melissa Rosado and I am from San Juan, Puerto Rico. I moved to New York two years ago to work for a Consulting Firm in Corporate America. Since then, a lot has changed in my life, starting with rediscovering my passion for dancing. I started taking classes with Joe less than a year ago and soon became part of the Student Dance Group. Through this experience, I’ve had the opportunity to get to know myself better and think about what I truly want to do with my life. If I can be so happy doing something that I love as a hobby I would like to also have a job that makes me feel the same way. I can’t say that I had that I had that passion as a consultant. Dancing helped me find my additional passions such as health care and medicine. That is why I decided to pursue a new path in my life. I am currently in the Pre-Med program at Columbia University with the goal of one day
being able to heal from the heart just as we are “Dancing From the Heart” at Piel Canela.
