Hi! My name is Danielle (Dani) Tubb. I was born in Brooklyn and raised in Queens, NYC. I graduated college a few years ago with a degree in Comprehensive Sciences. Instead of medical school or research, I decided to take advantage of the late 90’s booming job market and work for a financial services firm. I am an alumnus of JP Morgan Chase’s Technology Management Development program and now work in a project management and strategic planning support role.

I began dancing On2 a few years back at a studio in my Queens neighborhood, and quickly began to eat, drink, and breathe salsa. The music moves me in a way that I have never experienced before! After a year or so I decided to branch out to develop my own style and take lessons from a number of different studios and teachers that NYC has to offer. I never really thought about performing until I was given the opportunity to perform with the Copacabana Dancers. I soon realized how exciting it is to perform and how much energy and excitement it gave me. It also gave me an excuse to dance more!

I want to take my dancing to a higher level, so I decided to audition for the Piel Canela Dance Company. I really want to thank Joe Burgos and the Piel Canela Dance Company for giving me this incredible opportunity and making me part of the team! I am looking forward to the challenge!

In addition to dancing, my other hobbies include capoeira, traveling, reading, fitness, and when time permits, studying foreign languages. Although I have not been able to dedicate any significant amount of time to pursue these, I also enjoy the occasional class in afro-cuban, flamenco, ballet, latin jazz, yoga, and percussion.
